Britta Jürgs (born January 18, 1965 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German publisher , editor and editor .

Professional background

Britta Jürgs studied German, Romance languages ​​and art history in Frankfurt am Main, Paris and Berlin . In 1997 she founded the AvivA publishing house . Through this she works as an editor of books, especially on women in art and literary history. She also writes women's book reviews as editor of Virginia magazine .

Since 2015, Jürgs - succeeding Stefan Weidle - has been chairing the Kurt Wolff Foundation .

Awards
