Vincent Wolfsteiner

Vincent Wolfsteiner (born March 11, 1966 in Munich ) is a German opera singer ( tenor ).

Life

Wolfsteiner made his first appearances in 2000. He then sang in the USA and Germany. In 2006 he won first prize from the Liederkranz Foundation in New York. In Germany he was particularly active at the Anhaltisches Theater in Dessau and the Rostock Volkstheater . The performance of Jaromír Weinberger's opera Wallenstein by the Theater & Philharmonie Thuringia in Gera caused a sensation, in which Wolfsteiner sang Max Piccolomini.

In 2010 he sang Siegmund in Barrie Kosky's production of the Ring des Nibelungen at the Hanover State Opera .

From the 2012/13 season until the end of the 2014/15 season he was engaged at the Staatstheater Nürnberg , where he sang roles such as the title roles in Tristan and Isolde and Andrea Chénier as well as in Siegfried . At the beginning of the 2015/16 season he switched to the ensemble of the Frankfurt Opera .
