Vincenzo Lombardo

Vincenzo Lombardo (born January 21, 1932 in Santo Stefano di Camastra , † December 2, 2007 in Milan ) was an Italian sprinter .

Over 400 m he was eliminated at the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 in the preliminary and at the European Athletics Championships in 1954 in Bern in the semi-finals.

In 1955 he won silver over 200 m and bronze over 400 m at the Mediterranean Games .

At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956, he was fourth in the 4 x 100 meter relay and reached the semi-finals over 200 m .

In 1952, 1954 and 1955 he was Italian champion over 400 m.

His daughters Patrizia and Rossana Lombardo were also successful as sprinters.
