Vincenzo Lucci-Chiarissi

Vincenzo Lucci-Chiarissi (* 1899 in Pesaro ) was an Italian film producer , film director and screenwriter who dealt mainly with religious topics in his works and in the works in which he was involved. For his short film Christ Among the Primitives , which was released in 1953, he was nominated at the Academy Awards in 1954 for an Oscar in the category " Best Short Film (1 film roll) ". The award went to Johnny Green for his short music film Overture to The Merry Wives of Windsor .

In addition to his aforementioned activities, Lucci-Chiarissi also worked as a sound director in the 1960s and participated in over 200 productions.

In his film Le Redenzione , for which Lucci-Chiarissi also wrote the screenplay and which he produced himself, he deals with the theme of human redemption, which he depicts through works by Italian artists.
