history
The origins of the Vincotech company go back to 1968, when the Telecommunications Group of Siemens AG in Munich began manufacturing hybrid circuits. In 1992 Siemens bought a plant in Bicske , Hungary . In 1996, the Siemens EC business unit started producing power modules and hybrid circuits at the same location. In 2000, the Tyco International conglomerate took over the Siemens EC business unit. In the same year it was renamed Tyco Electronics, Electronic Modules. In 2007, The Gores Group acquired Tyco Electronics Power Systems, spun off the Electronic Modules business, and renamed it Vincotech. In 2010, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation acquired Vincotech. The company has been run as an independent affiliated company ever since.
The name Vincotech is a portmanteau ( suitcase word ), which combines the Latin word "vincere" (win, conquer, conquer) with the syllable "tech" from "technology".

Vincotech is based in Unterhaching near Munich . The company operates a production facility in Bicske , Hungary . The plant, which is certified according to ISO / TS16949 and ISO14001, develops and produces all power modules.
Products and services
Vincotech develops and produces "Intelligent Power Modules" (IPM), integrated power electronics (Power Integrated Modules or PIMs, a combination of input rectifiers, inverters and brake choppers), six-pack inverters and rectifiers, PFC, H-Bridge, half-bridge , Booster and NPC / MNPC / AMNPC converter modules. The basic technologies are standard solder pin connections, press-fit technology, clamp connections and thermal interface material (TIM). The power spectrum ranges from 4 A to 1800 A and from 600 V to 2400 V.
