Vinkeveen en Waverveen was a municipality in the Dutch province of Utrecht . It was formed on January 1, 1841 by the union of the two communities Vinkeveen and Waverveen . On January 1, 1989, it merged with Mijdrecht and Wilnis to form the new municipality of De Ronde Venen . At the time of the dissolution, Vinkeveen en Waverveen had 8,619 inhabitants on 26.36 km².
