The Violengasse in the district town Düren ( Nordrhein-Westfalen ) is an ancient historic city road .

The street is only about 100 meters long and connects Wilhelmstrasse with Victor-Gollancz-Strasse. It is signposted as a one-way street from Wilhelmstrasse. The street was within the Düren city fortifications .
history
The street name, in dialect "Fijolejass", has not found any meaning until today. The street used to be called simply dead end and was part of Schellengasse, today's Wilhelmstraße. It was only given its current name in the 19th century.
The adult education center of the city of Düren is located in a former special school building in Violengasse .
