Violetta's puppet stage

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Violetta's Puppenbühne is a puppet theater in Wegberg , Heinsberg district .

history

It was founded in 1992 in Solingen by Eva and Wolfgang Wieden as a mobile puppet stage. From 1998 to 2012, in addition to the mobile stage with the puppet theater at the Böckerhof in Solingen , the puppet stage also had a permanent venue. Since 2004, guest appearances have also taken place in the Hendrichs drop forge, the Rhenish Industrial Museum in Solingen , under the motto “Theater on the run” .

The artistic direction of the stage lies with Eva Wieden. Her husband Wolfgang Wieden is responsible for the commercial management. The pieces are partly staged as a pure puppet theater , and partly as a hybrid of puppet theater and drama . We work with hand puppets and snap- mouth puppets as well as stick puppets . The repertoire alternates between fairy tales and Kasper pieces. Since 2003, self-developed stories on the topic of prevention for children of preschool age have also been created. In 2005, Molière's “Die enforced marriage” was the first comedy for adults to be included in the program.

In December 2005, Violetta's Puppenbühne was awarded the 1st Solingen Prize for Violence Prevention “Am Grafen” for the play Da muss ich alone durch ... , a puppet theater game for violence prevention in primary schools.

In June 2012, Eva and Wolfgang Wieden were forced to close the puppet theater at Böckerhof due to increased energy costs. In the autumn of the same year they moved to Wegberg to manage future gaming operations from there.

Violetta's Puppenbühne is a member of the Verband Deutscher Puppentheater eV and Faszenario, Figurentheater im Rheinland eV.
