Virchow's lymph nodes
The Virchow lymph node is the last lymph node station of the thoracic duct . It is located on the left in the supraclavicular fossa above the collarbone .
If this lymph node is palpable, it can indicate metastasis of a tumor, usually gastric cancer . Also, Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin's lymphomas can lead to swelling of the Virchow lymph node.
The Virchow lymph node is named after the German pathologist Rudolf Virchow .
