Virginija Adomaitienė

Virginija Adomaitienė (* 1958 ) is a Lithuanian psychiatrist and professor .

Life

Virginija grew up in Ariogala of raseiniai district municipality and then in Žaliakalnis the municipality of Kaunas on. In childhood she attended music school and played the accordion . After graduating from Kaunas Middle School , she worked for a year as a laboratory assistant in the cardiology clinic. Only then did Virginija complete her studies, the internatur of medicine and psychiatry at the Medical Institute Kaunas (KMI). She worked at the Raseiniai Hospital . From 1988 she worked at the SME psychiatry clinic. On June 4, 2004 she did her doctorate on the subject of Klinikinės depresijos struktūros analizė sergant išemine širdies liga at the Kauno medicinos universitetas . She then completed her postgraduate studies and earned her master's degree at the Faculty of Economics and Management at Vytautas Magnus University and psychotherapy at the Halle Institute in Germany.

Adomaitienė teaches as a professor at the Medical Academy of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU). Since 2006 she has been head of the LSMU Psychiatry Clinic. She is also a member of the RAN Health working group.

Adomaitienė is married and has two sons.
