history

The company was founded in 1980 as a service company in the telecommunications industry, in particular for CTT Correios de Portugal (now Portugal Telecom ). The growing economy in Portugal and the privatization of numerous state-owned companies also enabled Visabeira to grow steadily, which subsequently expanded its activities to include a wide variety of infrastructure areas, particularly in the areas of energy, telecommunications and cable television. The company then became increasingly active as a holding and investment company, and is now expanding its activities mainly abroad, where it generates its main corporate growth.
