Vjesnik (German: Kurier ) was a Croatian- language daily newspaper from Zagreb , which appeared from 1940 to 2012.

The Vjesnik was founded in 1940 by the communist movement. In 1990 the editorial policy changed from a purely communist and socialist approach to more liberalism and thus to a government-friendly course. The decisive factor in this was the election of Franjo Tuđman as the first President of Croatia to advocate a free market economy. Vjesnik was an official government paper and was the only quality newspaper published nationwide.

On March 13, 2012, it became known that the Croatian government wanted to sell the daily newspaper to the Oak Investment Management Group . In April 2012 the magazine stopped its publication. Over 30 million articles have appeared in 72 years.
