Vlacq is an impact crater to the south of the lunar front , south of the large Janssen crater and northwest of Rosenberger . The rim of the crater is heavily eroded, the interior is largely flat and has a central mountain .

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Dutch mathematician Adriaan Vlacq .
