Vladas Žulkus

Vladas Žulkus (born April 16, 1945 in Telšiai , Lithuanian SSR ) is a Lithuanian archaeologist.

Life

After graduating from high school, he studied from 1962 to 1964 at the Vilnius branch of the Kauno politechnikos institutas and from 1970 to 1976 at the Faculty of History at Vilnius University , and from 1985 to 1988 in the postgraduate degree in Russia. In 1988 he obtained his doctorate in Moscow on the subject of “Klaipėda ir jos regionas XI – XVII amžiais” and in 1999 he completed his habilitation on cures at the Institute for the History of Lithuania (on the subject of “Kuršiai vakarinių baltų gelezies amžiaus kultūroje ir visuomenėje”).

Since 1993 he has taught at the University of Klaipeda , since 1995 as associate professor , since 2001 as a professor . From 2002 to 2011 he was the rector of Klaipėda University.
