Vladimir Štimac (born August 25, 1987 in Belgrade ) is a Serbian basketball player. He is 2.10 meters tall and weighs 114 kilograms.

Club career

Stimac had his first professional station at KK Beovuk 72 Belgrade. For the club of the Serbian capital, today's national player played a season from 2004 to 2005. In the years 2005 to 2007 Žalgiris Kaunas was Vladimir Štimac's club. His yield in his seven appearances in the professional team was 3.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. At this point in time his good litter was already noticeable. He was able to convert 50 percent of his throws at Žalgiris Kaunas. When visiting the Latvian club SK Valmiera , Štimac put on 14.2 points and 9.6 rebounds per game in his first season. His hit rate of 54.1 percent was outstanding. In the second year he was able to improve in all respects. 62.2% of his throws found the target, so that in the end 15.5 points and 11.3 rebounds per game were on the scoreboard. Štimac played in Latvia from 2007 to 2008.

Between 2008 and 2010 Vladimir Štimac played for Red Star Belgrade in his home country . During this time he already trained once under coach Svetislav Pešić , as well as later at Bayern Munich. 2008–2009 came Štimac to 9.4 points and 4.4 rebounds on average, before a year later his values ​​fell to 6.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. The move to ČEZ Basketball Nymburk in the Czech Republic for the 2010/2011 season was a brief guest appearance. After six months the contract was terminated. By then, the center had scored 6.2 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. From 2011 to 2012 he wore the jersey of Olin Edirne Basket . During this time Vladimir Štimac was able to lay 15 points and 7.7 rebounds on average. His hit rate also increased to 63.9 percent. From 2012 to 2013, Štimac played for Banvit BK Bandirma. The center achieved 8.5 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.

For the 2013/2014 season, he switched to the Spanish Euroleague participant Unicaja Málaga . In the Spanish ACB league, Štimac was able to put up 7.1 points and 5.6 rebounds. He was also the opponent of his future club, FC Bayern Munich, in the Euroleague. The Serbian center signed with FC Bayern Munich for the 2014/2015 season. His contract runs for a year. After the 2014/15 season he left the German runner-up with an as yet unknown goal.

National team career

In the youth national teams of Serbia Vladimir Štimac got playing times. The first major tournament for the senior national team with Štimac was the 2013 European Championship in Slovenia. Štimac got his playing times and was able to collect 4.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in around 9 minutes of play. Vladimir Štimac was also nominated by the Serbian national coach for the 2014 World Cup in Spain, where he won the silver medal.
