Vlady Kociancich

Vlady Kociancich (* 1941 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine editor, writer and translator.

Kociancich's first literary attempts go back to her youth. During her studies at the Universidad de Buenos Aires she met Jorge Luis Borges , who encouraged and encouraged her writing.

Between 1972 and 1979 she headed a trade journal for the Argentine Tourism Authority. When she was able to repeat the success of her literary debut, she resigned all offices in the 80s and devoted herself only to her literary work.

In 1994 the writer Adolfo Bioy won Casares Kociancich as interpreter and so she gave insight into his work as a visiting professor at the Complutense University in Madrid in a cycle of lectures.

Since then Konciancich has lived as a freelance writer in her hometown of Buenos Aires.

• 1990 Premio Gonzalo Torrente Ballester for the stories "Todos los caminos".
• 1992 Premio Sigfrido Radaelli for the novel “Los bajos del temor”.
