The Vodno ( Macedonian Водно ) is the local mountain of the north Macedonian capital Skopje .
The Vodno is located in the southwest of Skopje. The highest peak Krastovar is 1066 m high. The Millennium Cross is located here , a 77 m high steel structure that can be seen from a distance of 100 km and shines out over the city at night. The summit can be reached by two roads, a cable car and several hiking trails.
Halfway up, the so-called Sredno Vodno ( Macedonian Средно Водно ) there are two large parking lots, several restaurants and the valley station of the cable car. This point is at an altitude of 570 m, while the starting point of the hiking trail is on the outskirts of Skopje at 337 m.
