Voglarn is a district of the Fürstenzell market in the Lower Bavarian district of Passau . Until 1972 it formed an independent municipality.

location

Voglarn is located in a valley at the transition to the Isar-Inn hill country about six kilometers northwest of Fürstenzell.

history

Voglarn is mentioned for the first time in the traditions of the Formbach monastery in 1158 and belonged to the Hofmark Söldenau Counts of Ortenburg until 1805 . The municipality of the same name, which was assigned to the reorganized Passau II district court in 1838, emerged from the now Bavarian tax district Voglarn. In 1978, most of the Voglarn community and parts of the Sandbach community were incorporated into Fürstenzell.
