history
The vocal ensemble "Brevis" consists of the former members of the children's choir "Osječki Zumbići", which was founded in 1989 according to the idea of music teacher Jelena Burić in cooperation with the Institute for Schooling of the City of Osijek. Initially, the choir, founded in 1995, worked at the “Franjo Kuhač” music school, then as part of the “Naša djeca” community. On February 21, 1998, the youth music association "Polifonija", an independent, unprofitable association for children and young people, was founded. "Polifonija" has around 200 active members who are divided into five choirs according to age, ability and experience. The vocal ensemble "Brevis" is the oldest choir of this association.
