Volkan Özcan (actor)
Volkan Özcan (* around 1980 ) is a German actor and educator of Turkish descent who works with young people who have committed criminal offenses. As the main actor in Özgür Yıldırıms gangster film Chiko (2008) he played a criminal youth himself: Tibet, the best friend of the title character and received an actor's award at the film festival Turkey / Germany .
Life
His parents immigrated from Turkey in the 1970s and initially worked as guest workers in the chemistry laboratory of an electronics company. The current educator has been friends with Özgür Yıldırım since childhood and had already worked on Yıldırım's short films before his role in Chiko.
Özcan lives in Hamburg.
