Volker Einrauch

Volker Einrauch (* 1950 in Kassel ) is a German screenwriter , film director and film producer .

life and work

Volker Einrauch studied literature, linguistics, history and politics at the University of Marburg . Here he met his future companion Lothar Kurzawa , with whom he founded Josefine Filmproduktion in 1984. Together they first made short and experimental films, such as the 1985 short film Death of a Newsreader or the TV film Phantom Hunt About Face and Landscape , before Hermine Huntgeburth joined the duo in 1990 .

Einrauch's first solo director, the low-budget comedy Die Mutter des Killers , shot in 15 days , received several awards, including the 1996 Filmfest München 's award for directors from Hypo-Bank. Further awards for his work as a screenwriter and director followed.
