Volker Garske

Volker Garske (* 1966 ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian.

Life

From October 1987 to June 1994 he completed a teaching degree for secondary levels II and I in the subjects of German and Catholic religious studies at the University of Paderborn . On June 1, 1994, he graduated with the first state examination. From August 1994 to July 1996 he completed a doctoral degree in Catholic theology as a scholarship holder at the University of Paderborn. From 1995 to 1997 he completed his legal clerkship at the Paderborn study seminar (Städt. Realschule Büren and Mauritius-Gymnasium Büren ). After graduation in 1996 as a doctor of philosophy he laid in 1997 from the second state examination. Since 2002 he has been a teacher at the University of Paderborn. From April to December 2016 she completed her habilitation at the University of Vechta . Since 1996 he has been a member of the “Theology and Literature” research group headed by Karl-Josef Kuschel and Georg Langenhorst . Since 2002 he has been a speaker in teacher training in North Rhine-Westphalia, Hamburg, Hesse, Bavaria and Lower Saxony. Since 2007 he has been the editor of the didactic series "EinFach Religion" (Schöningh-Verlag Paderborn). From 2007 to 2008 he obtained the "Bibliodrama Leader" certificate at the Institute for Communication, Counseling and Mediation in Icogne .

His focus in research and teaching is correlative symbol didactics, biblical didactics, depth psychological exegesis in religious education, literature and theology, fictional texts in religious education and the development of socio- and psychotheologically based teaching models.
