Volker Röhricht
Volker Röhricht (born May 11, 1940 in Berlin ) is a German lawyer. From 1986 to 2005 he was a judge at the German Federal Court of Justice .
biography
After completing his legal training in 1968, Röhricht initially worked as a research assistant at the University of Hamburg before entering the judicial service and working as a judge at the Hamburg Regional Court .
From 1982 to 1986 Röhricht was a judge at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Hamburg . After his appointment as a federal judge in 1986, the Presidium of the Federal Court of Justice assigned him to the Second Civil Senate, to which he was to belong for the entire period of his activity at this court, from 1996 as presiding judge. In 1998 he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Hamburg.
In 2005, Röhricht retired after reaching the age limit. Since 2005 reed is voluntary as Chairman of the Auditor Oversight Commission operates a body that for the public professional oversight of the Chamber of Auditors is responsible. He is also a board member of the German Association for Sports Law e. V.
Röhricht's specialty is corporate law, in particular stock corporation and GmbH law, on which he has written and published commentaries. In addition, he is also involved in sports law and the like. a. on questions of doping .
On September 27, 2011, at the suggestion of the Federal Ministry of Economics, the District President Rudolf Kühner presented him with the Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany for his voluntary work in the Chamber of Auditors and in matters of sports law .
