Volker Steinhoff

Volker Steinhoff (* 1963 in Hanover ) is a German journalist .

Life

Steinhoff began to report as a freelance author and from Lower Saxony in 1988. In 1991 he completed a traineeship at the Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR). In 1992 he became editor of the political television magazine Panorama , where right-wing extremism is one of his main focuses . In 2009 he took over the editorial management of Panorama .

Awards

  • 1999: Sophie - Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Media Prize / Heinrich Böll Foundation / DGB for the brown election battle
  • 2002: Grimme Prize for The Death Pilots
  • 2018: Grimme Prize for special journalistic achievements in reporting on the G-20 summit in Hamburg.
