Volkmar Zapf (born August 19, 1970 in Bamberg ) is a former German basketball player and today's coach.
Career
In his active career, Zapf played two years in the regional league, one year in the USA and 14 years in the first and second division. He played his first professional game in 1990 for the TTL Bamberg. In 2005, the last year of his career, he became German champion with Bamberg. Since then he has been an athletics trainer at Brose Baskets , with whom he celebrated the German championship in 2007 and 2010. He also won the Cup in 1992 with the TTL Bamberg as a player and in 2010 with the Brose Baskets as an athletics trainer.

Zapf is a sports and English teacher at the Kaiser-Heinrich-Gymnasium in Bamberg.
