The United VR Bank Kur- und Rheinpfalz is a German cooperative bank based in Speyer.

history

United VR Bank Kur- und Rheinpfalz, Speyer with the historic villas Körbling (left) and Sick (right). The head office now extends over the Untere Langgasse area to Obere Langgasse.

In 1864, 121 Speyer citizens founded the “Speyer advance association” based on the cooperative ideas of Hermann Schulze-Delitzsch . In 1873 the name was changed to Speyerer Volksbank eG. Later the Volksbank Kur- und Rheinpfalz developed into a credit institute in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region . The bank has been called Volksbank Kur- und Rheinpfalz since 2007 after several mergers with regional cooperative banks.
