2009 Kazakhstan Census
The 2009 Kazakhstan census was the second census since Kazakhstan gained independence . The first took place in 1999. The statistics agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan was in charge of the census .
procedure
The basis for the 2009 census was Resolution No. 1138 "On national census in the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2009" and "Plan of the national census in the Republic of Kazakhstan", which was adopted on November 28, 2007. The census began on February 25th and ended on March 6th in most areas. In other areas it started on March 7th and lasted ten days.
58,368 counters were involved in the census. Each of them visited an average of 300 people.

The questionnaire consisted of a total of 23 questions. These included 18 demographic and socio-economic questions and five questions about the living conditions of the respondents.

The results of the census were released on February 4, 2010. The population was made up as follows:
