history

In 1832 Vollmerhausen belonged to the Pickartsberger Rotte of the rural outskirts of the parish and the city of Elberfeld . The place, categorized as Kotten according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , was called Am Volmarshäuschen and at that time had a residential house and three agricultural buildings. At that time, three residents lived in the village, all of whom were Protestant.

In 1891 the Elberfeld – Cronenberg railway ("Burgholzbahn") was led around the town to the west. The location was opened up with a cul-de-sac from the north. Hindenburgstrasse, which has been recorded in the address book since 1921, was created by prisoners of war. As a result, the construction of the road made the local situation desolate.
