The property is located at the crossroads between Franz-Rixen-Straße / Hoemenstraße / Burg Freiheit / Laurentiusplatz von-der-Helm-Straße in Odenkirchen, immediately north of the Catholic St. Laurentius Church.
architecture
It is a three-storey, eaves corner house under a steep, tiled mansard roof , with a façade that is bent several times and adapts to the very narrow plot of land on Hoemenstrasse / von-der-Helm-Strasse. The building has two plastered and partly stuccoed façades facing these two streets. Four risalits flank three parts of the facade, each of which is divided horizontally by a girdle and two sill cornices and ends in an elaborately floral cornice cranked around the risalits . The longer part of the façade , structured by three axes of high rectangular windows with arched arches, is oriented towards the Catholic Church of St. Laurentius and von-der-Helm-Straße, the short, middle part of the façade, characterized by a window axis, is oriented towards Hoemenstraße.
The object is important for human history and for cities and settlements. There is a public interest in its preservation and use for scientific, in particular architectural, local and urban planning reasons.
