At 62 m, Vongshøj is the highest point of the Løgumbjerge in the western part of Northern Schleswig in the south of Denmark , three kilometers northwest of the center of Løgumkloster .
During the First World War, a signal station was built by the German armed forces on the summit, which was converted in 1923 into the observation tower that is still there today.
