Voodoo circus is a music album by the rap duo Genetikk . It was released on February 24, 2012.
prehistory
In October 2010 the free album Foetus was released. After an announcement in the spring of 2011, the album Samsara should be released on November 11, 2011 , but Genetikk was signed to Selfmade Records through contact with the rapper Favorite . As a result, Samsara was renamed Voodoo Circus and later published.
content
In terms of content, the album is mainly about drugs and schizophrenia. However, there is also a track on the album called Sorry , which is about Karuzo's anonymity in particular, what verses like "What do you want to hear from me, my story, my story? Fuck you! My life is all your shit" recognizes.
Production and samples
All beats were produced by member Sikk. The beat of the track Sorry is based on Everyday by Carly Commando, that of the track Incubation is based on It's Yourz by the Wu-Tang Clan .
Cover design
The cover shows Karuzo stepping forward with his left leg with a baseball bat in his right hand. In the background you can see the head of the beat producer Sikk , but his face is covered by the shadow of his hood. On the floor you can see several graves and also play balls which match the clown image. In the lower area there is the lettering Voodoo circus and in the upper area Genetikk and the Selfmade Records logo.
