reception

The album received mixed reviews. The reviewer from the hip-hop portal rap.de is mostly positive:

“Genetikk understood one thing very well: that they have to free themselves from worn out rap threads and the prevailing stubbornness of the scene, they want to do more than just be 'good German rap'. Your album cannot be classified completely and easily in any of the usual categories. [...] And it is actually the case that many tracks do not go straight into the ear, but only gain in appeal when they are listened to for the second or third time. "

Daniel Welsch from the pop magazine Spex goes into the content of the lyrics:

“In any case, Genetikk mostly hide reality on their fifth album Fukk Genetikk or exaggerate it into a visually powerful and allusive fantasy world. [...] Refugee boats and border fences are only the backdrop of an entertaining dream world. "

Jan Kawelke from the hip-hop magazine Juice tries to put the album in a socially critical context:

"In general, GN double-Ks on" Fukk "are socially critical. [...] That could work if the collective also addressed its own conflict between political consciousness and Good Life. But Karuzo avoids the thematic mixing. "

Benjamin Borowitza from MZEE writes the following in a largely positive review:

"Anyone who, as a sworn GNKK fan, couldn't really make friends with the experimental concept of" Achter Tag "will feel much more comfortable with" Fukk Genetikk ". Minor slip-ups happen, but are more than ironed out in view of the rest of the excellent work. The guys with the stylish masks still know how to deliver a stylish overall package. "
