Pre-Qin period
Pre-Qin period ( Chinese 先秦 時期 / 先秦 时期 , Pinyin Xiān Qín shíqī ) stands in Chinese history for:
- generally the time before the establishment of the first imperial dynasty, the Qin dynasty , in 221 BC. Chr.
- as a generic term for the five major periods: the Xia Dynasty , Shang Dynasty , Zhou Dynasty , Spring and Autumn Period (Chunqiu) and Warring States Period (Zhanguo), excluding the Paleolithic and Neolithic
- the time of the two periods of spring and autumn ( Chunqiu ) and Warring States Period ( Zhanguo )
