The book Role Models of Faithfulness was written by Abdul-Baha and describes important figures in the history of the Baha'i religion .

This collection of biographies was created in 1915 from stories told by Abdu'l Baha among his friends. In 1924 the collection was published in Haifa in Persian . Shoghi Effendi commissioned Marzieh Gail to translate the book into English . Based on the English version , it was finally translated into German and published in 1987.

The book contains about 70 short descriptions of the lives of exemplary Baha'i who died while Abdu'l Baha was still alive. These include the hands of the Nabil-i-Akbar case and Mulla Ali Akbar, the letter of the living Qurrat al-ʿAin , also known as Tahirih, the calligrapher Mishkin-Qalam and the chronicler Nabil-i-Zarandi .
