The Vordere Russee is a lake on the western outskirts of Kiel in the German state Schleswig-Holstein . It is about 20 hectares and up to 1.7 m deep.

The lake was formerly called Hassee known . The name goes back to the former Russee , which lies west of today's Russee and has meanwhile been drained.
