Devil Sold His Soul (or Devil sold his Soul ) is a post-hardcore / progressive metal band from Great Britain founded in 2004 consisting of Ed Gibbs ( vocals ), Jonny Renshaw and Richard Chapple ( guitars ), Iain Trotter ( bass ), Paul Kittney ( samples ) and Leks Wood ( drums ). Wood is the successor to Dave Robinson, who was the band's drummer from 2006 to 2007. The original drummer, Tom Harriman, left the group in 2006. The band is also occasionally assigned stylistic elements of post-metal , sludge .

history

Her first EP was released in 2005 under Visible Noise and is called Darkness Prevails . In 2008 the EP was re-released. The album received reviews from Kerrang, among others ! and metal hammer . Their debut album A Fragile Hope was released on June 18, 2007. Visible Noise and the band split before the album was produced. In 2008 a split CD with the group Tortuga was released . In 2010 the single Callous Heart and the second album Blessed & Cursed were released under Century Media .

The band later toured the UK with Architects . After the support tour, the band planned their own tour to headline Europe . The band has already given concerts in Mechelen and Amsterdam .

At the beginning of April 2013, singer Ed Gibbs left the band as an active member after nine years, as he no longer had the feeling that he could be there for the band one hundred percent. Subsequently, the singer of the band The Arusha Accord Paul Green was announced as a new band member.
