Vorwärts Augsburg was a sports club of the German labor movement from Augsburg .
Soccer
The soccer department of Vorwärts Augsburg took part in 1924 as champions of southern Bavaria in the national championship for workers ' sports clubs held by the Workers' Gymnastics and Sports Association. The team reached the final of the southern German championship with a 1-0 victory against TSV Stuttgart-Ost, but lost it 2: 6 against ATSV Feudenheim from Mannheim . In the course of the seizure of power by the Nazis in 1933, organized labor sports movement also ended in forward Augsburg.
