Voss-Bogen , also called Am Voss-Bogen and Am Vossbogen , is a residential area in the small town of Sarstedt in Lower Saxony in the Hanover region that was built at the beginning of the 21st century . In terms of urban planning , the quarter was laid out in a mixed residential area . It can be found on the flat site between Voss-Strasse and Glückaufstrasse on an area of around 35,000 square meters. The area is divided into 58 parcels for 58 residential houses in individual construction by the respective builders . The associated plots each range from 300 to 900 square meters and were designed for single-family and twin-family houses.

history

The name Voss-Bogen comes from the Vosswerke , which was founded in the 19th century and which previously had large factory halls on the site for decades, especially for the construction of ovens and stoves for large kitchens. Most recently, the historical facilities were used as production areas for process manufacturing by TDS Tuchenhagen Diary Systems. After the demolition of the old factories, a street layout in the form of a rectangular figure eight with rounded corners and two feeder streets was laid out in the new development area, the Heinrich-Bormann-Ring named after Heinrich Bormann and the Dorothea-Siemon-Straße named after Dorothea Siemon . The project development was carried out by the Sarstedter Grundstücksentwicklungsgesellschaft (SGEG), while the sale of the developed properties was transferred to the real estate center of Sparkasse Hildesheim .

For the residents, designed open spaces and a playground for small children were created, which was designed by the landscape planner Uwe Michel.

To protect against the traffic noise emanating from Voss-Strasse, a noise protection wall , which was initially controversial, was built along the thoroughfare. A supermarket on Vossbogen started operations around Christmas 2009.
