Voss (also Voss zu Rodenberg and zu Aplerbeck ) is the name of a noble family from the county of Mark .

history

The family on Aplerbeck from the county of Mark is considered to have died out in the male line . The Voss family of officers from Hamm, who were accepted into the nobility through non-objection, now has the same coat of arms of the Voss zu Rodenberg, as they claim to be descended from it. Although the first progenitor of this line married equally, the ancestry is not considered to be certain, as the older coat of arms of Voss zu Hamm was only partially similar to the coat of arms of Voss zu Rodenberg.

The moated castle Haus Rodenberg in Aplerbeck was owned from 1422 to 1755.
