The highest windmill in the Netherlands

The Vrouwenheide is a mountain in the Netherlands . It is located in the municipality of Voerendaal near the village of Ubachsberg . On it are the Bernardushoeve and the highest windmill in the Netherlands (built in 1857) with 216  m NAP ( Amsterdam level ). This burned out in 1945 and was restored in 1980. It is currently inhabited and is called Op de Vrouweheide . For a long time the Vrouwenheide was considered the highest point in the Netherlands; but this is actually the Vaalserberg .
