Vuyani Bungu

Vuyani Bungu (* 26. February 1967 in Mdantsane , South Africa ) is a former South African boxer in the super bantamweight . He was both managed and trained by Mzi Mnguni .

On April 26th in 1987 he successfully made his professional debut. On August 20, 1994, he became world champion of the IBF when he defeated Kennedy McKinney by unanimous decision. After a total of 13 consecutive title defenses, he resigned the title in 1999 because he switched to featherweight . From February 2004 to June 2005 he was IBO world champion in featherweight.

In 2005 he ended his career.
