Vytautas Gaidamavičius
Vytautas Gaidamavičius (born July 21, 1931 in Kaunas , † May 31, 2008 in Vilnius ) was a Lithuanian musician ( pianist ) and politician , vice minister of culture .
Life
In 1955 Gaidamavičius completed his piano diploma studies at the Lietuvos konservatorija with Aldona Dvarionienė . From 1955 to 1957 he was concertmaster at the Lithuanian National Opera House ( Lietuvos operos ir baleto teatras ). From 1957 to 1974 he taught at the Vilniaus pedagoginis institutas and from 1974 to 2001 at the Lietuvos konservatorija . From 1990 to 1991 he was Deputy Minister of Culture and Education of Lithuania .
