Vytautas Sinkevičius
Vytautas Sinkevičius (born December 7, 1951 in Bagdanonys, Trakai district , Lithuanian SSR ) is a Lithuanian constitutional lawyer, professor at MRU University and former constitutional judge .
Life
In 1975 he graduated from the Diploma in Law at the University of Vilnius and then taught at the Faculty of Law. In 2001 he received his doctorate in citizenship law on the subject of "Lietuvos Respublikos pilietybės teisinis reguliavimas 1918-2001 metais: raida ir dabartinio teisinio reguliavimo problemos" (with Mindaugas Maksimaitis ).
From 1975 he teaches in the chair for constitutional law. From 1981 to 1990 he was a civil servant in the Seimas , from 1985 to 1989 assistant to the chairman of the Supreme Council. From 1989 to 1999 he worked as a consultant and director of the legal department of the Seimas law firm. From 1999 to 2008 he was a judge at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania .
He is married and has a daughter.
