Władysław Król (born October 30, 1907 in Kijany , Lublin Governorate , Russian Empire ; † January 28, 1991 in Łódź ) was a Polish ice hockey player and coach as well as football player and coach.

Career

Władysław Król worked full-time as a mechanic. In football he was active for ŁKS Łódź between 1928 and 1946 and scored a total of 104 goals for the team in more than 450 games. He was one of the co-founders of the ice hockey department of the ŁKS Łódź in the winter of 1929/30. For the team he was active as a player-coach in the 1930s.

In the 1950s Król was employed as the coach of the soccer team of ŁKS Łódź . With the team he won the Polish Cup competition in 1957 and the Polish championship title in 1958 . He then worked in the club's youth department and became Polish champions in their age group in 1962 with the U19 juniors. At the same time, he continued to work as an ice hockey coach for ŁKS Łódź in the senior and junior sector.

International

For the Polish national ice hockey team , Król took part in the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . He was also in his country's squad at several world championships . Between 1934 and 1939 he played a total of 19 international matches for Poland, in which he scored three goals.

For the Polish national soccer team , he played four international matches between 1933 and 1937 and scored two goals.
