WAC-47 is an assault rifle made by the Ukrainian state company Ukroboronprom and the US company Aeroscraft . The rifle is based on the M16 . It should also shoot in the 5.56 × 45 mm NATO caliber , but it can also be converted into other calibers such as 7.62 × 39 mm , 5.45 × 39 mm , .458 SOCOM and 6.8 mm Remington SPC with kits . The weapon is intended to advance the conversion of the Ukrainian armed forces to NATO standards.
