The first member of the Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome protein family , shortened first member of the WASP proteins , or protein WAVE1 called, is a regulatory protein that the gene WASF1 is coded. Together with other members of the WASP / WAVE proteins, it plays an important role in regulating the actin cytoskeleton by regulating the Arp 2/3 complex in particular .
