The World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses , better known under the abbreviation WBFSH , is an international association that coordinates sport horse breeding. It is affiliated with the Fédération équestre internationale (FEI). The patroness of the WBFSH is Princess Benedigte of Denmark , who breeds herself and owns two stallions.

The WBFSH publishes ranking lists for sport horses used internationally and for breeding associations.

The World Breeding Championships for Sport Horses (WBCSH), an international breeding championship for dressage , jumping and eventing , have been held since 1992 .

The first WBCSH championship for show jumpers was held in Maastricht in the Netherlands in November 1992 . The Hanoverian Stud Book won with six of the best horses of the year . Leon Melchior received the award for 'Best Horse of the Year' as the breeder of Ratina Z ( 1992 Olympic Champion in Barcelona ) and was also honored as 'Breeder of the Year'.

The World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses was founded in November 1994.

The WBFSH is based in the Netherlands together with the Koninklijke Warmbloed Paardenstamboek Nederland (KWPN). It is kept in the commercial register of Utrecht.
