Together with her rider Ludger Beerbaum , she won numerous individual and team competitions. Before Beerbaum took the bay Hanoverian mare into training, she was previously ridden by the Dutchman Piet Raijmakers .

She was bred in 2000, but remained on Ludger Beerbaum's facility in Riesenbeck until death , where a bronze statue of her was also erected.

ancestry

The father of Ratina Z is Ramiro Z (Z stands for the Zangersheide stud in Lanaken, Belgium ). The mother, Argentina Z, is a daughter of Almé Z and Heureka Z. Heureka himself achieved a number of successes in show jumping with Hermann Schridde , so both of them won the Grand Prix of Aachen in 1970 .

Breeding career

Ratina Z had a foal each in 1986 and 1988. The second foal is the stallion Rex Z , who is used in breeding and was inbred with the full brother of Ratina Z, Rebel IZ . Several show jumpers who are successful in international sport are descended from Rex Z, for example the mare Remember Z, born in 1996 (with whom the Romanian rider Andy Candin took part in several international grand prizes and the German jumping derby ) or Regina Z (born in 2000 Mare, with Harrie Smolders multiple participation in Nations Cups for the Netherlands).

A successful son of Ratina Z is the stallion Crown Z , born in 2000 and used in breeding , with whom Judy-Ann Melchior competed in several international Grand Prix.

Another son of Ratina even became Vice Bundeschampion : The Westphalian stallion Comme il faut , born in 2005, became Vice World Champion of five-year-old show jumpers in 2010 and vice Bundeschampion of six-year-old show jumpers a year later, both ridden by Franz-Josef Dahlmann . Comme il faut is now ridden by Marcus Ehning .
