Hermann Schridde
Hermann Schridde (born July 3, 1937 in Celle ; † May 18, 1985 in Meißendorf near Winsen / Aller ) was a German show jumper .
His most successful period as a rider was in the 1960s. At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964 , he became Olympic champion in show jumping with the German team and won the silver medal in the individual. In 1965 he became the European Lecturer in Aachen . At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City , he won bronze with the team.
On December 11, 1964, he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf for his sporting achievements .
After his time as a rider he became a national trainer for show jumping. He held this office until his death in a plane crash in 1985.
