Joseph "Joe" Halpin Fargis IV (born April 2, 1948 in New York City , New York ) is an American show jumper . At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he won the gold medal in the team and individual rankings. At the following Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 he was able to win the silver medal in the team competition.
